I like how the camera follows the subject like it is watching her. The story was interesting and well thought out. The last shot was by far my favorite and it was a great way to bring the video to a close.
Interesting video, I liked the way you set it all up. I really liked when she was leaving the house you only saw her coming in the mirror, and it was like someone was watching her. Great job on the music choice, it really made the video!
I really liked the way you shot everything free-hand, it really makes it feel like there was someone watching her from inside the house and it helps to add to the suspense.
The ending was very good. It released all the suspense and anxiety that was building up throughout the story. The change in music was also helped set the tone of the film even more. Other than being a little slow in the beginning, it was a very solid film.
I LOVED your video! Your shots were well developed, the editing was GREAT and the storyline was awesome! I really liked the end! It was like I was watching a real scary movie, you even made me jump at the end! This is a great video!! GREAT JOB!!
The video was shot well and executed well as well. I felt like one clip was out of sync when you leave the house and the door shuts. I don't know if the ending felt right to me though, because she blows out the candle and then suddenly the candle is relit at the end, just threw me a bit. Overall good video.
Great job sticking to your pitch. Some of the shots were really nice and gave a spooky feel while others weren't as strong. I think that the introduction before anything had happened could have been much shorter and still gotten the concept across. I felt like there was too much with nothing happening in the beginning. Once it got going it got better. I like how you changed the music, it was really creepy and suspenseful. Really nice job, I love scary movies and I think you guys did well.
I'm glad you went with a suspense/thriller. You did a good job building up from day to night and the moment when you see what's in the house. I couldn't remember what you had put in the cupboard... but did the milk. The hands were awesome, the lady in the chair - excellent!
Okay, I'm not sure if it was the cinematography or the really loud volume it was played at in class but the two scenes where the lights and candle went out made me jump. Great job on that aspect. And the camera work was superb. The sound design elevated the scariness a crap-ton. A couple things I thought could've been better was, for one, the sound design in certain parts. I feel like after the intro, the music should've stopped to end the creepiness and maybe add like a radio in the background or candid noises just from moving about. Had you done that, you could've crescendo'ed up the creepiness again throughout the video, added more interaction with the ghost, and then end it on a bang. That said, I did feel the ending could've just ended on the candle scene. The scene afterwards was scary but I don't think it was needed, or there needed to be something after it, either way. Lastly, the part where Kayla was holding the candle before it got blown out was a little anticlimactic. There was no emotion in your face, it didn't seem to me like you were scared, more like you were possessed or something. Just my thoughts, overall though, the video was very well done. Be proud!
I love the creepy vibe you pulled off with this video, I think the music was the only weak part of the entire video, but even then it was great!
ReplyDeleteGreat sound design and really creepy shots. I love how you made it seem like the ghost was watching the entire time. very cool.
ReplyDeleteThats was so good! I loved the ending! And the milk shot was awesome!
