Documentary Subject

This is my boyfriend's mom, Pam Niedbala. Pam is a 1st grade teacher at Horizon Elementary School. I thought Pam would be an interesting person to interview because of the stories of her classroom and students that I hear often. She has a very unique way of teaching her dynamic classroom with a mixture of both normal and high ability students. I have always found 1st grade to be an interesting grade due to the fact that it is the first year of grade school and is a major transition from kindergarten. Pam also spends most weekends tutoring students in need of extra help.


This interview could be used as a marketing tool for the school. It would focus on the impact of the teachers on their students and explore different teaching styles that exist within the system. As I mentioned, I think first grade in particular would be important to highlight as it is an important time in a children's education.The documentary would allow viewers to get to know the teacher and offer them a look inside the classroom.
